Construction Photographic Documentation
DIGITAL PHOTOS
• hi-res JPG; image size is 4000 x 6000 pixels
• added legend strip with photo identification details
• customized common data in the legend strip
• filenames include the project name, date and time of photography
example: ProjectName_YYMMDD-HHMM_xxxx.jpg
• serial numbering beginning at 0001 (represented by xxxx, above)
KEY PLAN
• construction drawings marked up in PDF format
• arrows & serial numbers indicate camera position and direction of view for every photo
• new key plans are used for each day's photography; supplemental schematics may be added for clarification
PHOTO INDEX (optional)
• an Excel file
• basic project info includes project name & number, GC name, photo filenames, date, Key Plan page reference, photographer contact info
• photo-specific info includes serial numbers and notes that seem pertinent at the time of photography
• cumulative index: previous index is updated & renamed to reflect the date of most-recent photography; the “current” index goes back all the way to photo 0001
• does not record story/floor number, phase of construction, or orientation of view; the Key Plans provides these details
• no verbal descriptions included; each viewer will see what is important to them
DELIVERY
• a zip file uploaded directly to your file-sharing platform is most efficient; CD/DVD/USB drives via UPS or USPS are other options

• minor differences between the specs and this standard submission can be resolved. You will get high-quality photos that accurately document site conditions and progress toward completion in a way that makes identification and retrieval simple and efficient without redundancy.
